The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MEDEP) has proposed an aquatic herbicide treatment using ProcellaCOR EC to address the invasive milfoil in Androscoggin Lake.
Treatment complete. On Monday, July 20th, 2026 at 11AM, Solitude Lake Management (contracted by Maine DEP) applied ProcellaCOR EC to the infested area. The treatment took approx. 2 hours.
In addition to Maine DEP collecting post-treatment water samples, 30 Mile staff will help with data collection to track the treatments impact on VWM and all native aquatic plants.
Questions about the project? Contact Maine DEP Aquatic Biologist, John McPhedran at john.mcphedran@maine.gov or (207) 215-9863.
