Protect Parker Pond with a Vegetated Buffer

The 30 Mile River Watershed Association (30MRWA) and the Parker Pond Association (PPA) are sponsoring a buffer planting program for landowners around Parker Pond.

Purpose

To protect lake water quality by planting buffers to slow runoff and keep pollutants from flowing into our lake.

here it is

Vegetated buffers of trees, shrubs, and ground cover help to slow runoff and keep pollutants from freely flowing into our lakes.

Lawns with little or no buffer allow soil and nutrients to freely flow into the lake, potentially damaging water quality.
